About US:
The Judicial Service
Commission is a Constitutional body established under Article 146 of the
Constitution of the Republic of Uganda, 1995, whose mandate is to recruit
judicial officers and regulate their conduct. The Commission is composed of 9
members with powers to facilitate improving the efficiency and effectiveness of
Justice administration in Uganda. The Commissioners are drawn from persons of
integrity and unquestionable character.



Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • Applicants should be Ugandans holding an LLB degree from a
    recognized University/ Institution plus a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal
    Practice from the Law Development Center, Kampala Uganda or any other
    recognized University/Institution within the East African region.
  • Any relevant advanced/Post-Graduate qualifications(s) will be of
    added Advantage
  • In addition, he or she should have served as a Judge of the High
    Court or a Court of similar or higher jurisdiction to such a Court or has
    practiced as an Advocate for a period of not less than ten (10) years
    before a Court having unlimited jurisdiction in civil and criminal matters
    or is a distinguished jurist and an Advocate of not less than ten years’
    standing
  • Age: 40 years and
    above.

Service Commission (JSC), Farmers House Ground Floor P.O. Box 7679, Kampala or
online submissions in a single document can be sent to:
applications2019@jsc.go.ug. Applications should bear the title of the post
applied for as well as the reference number specified against the vacancy.
Applicants should
attach on each duly completed Form, a Curriculum Vitae (CV) containing the
names and contacts of at least two (2) referees, a recent passport size
photograph, copies of academic certificates and transcripts, a copy of the
National ID and a birth certificate. Applicants already in Public Service
should attach a copy of their latest IGG acknowledged Declaration Certificate
of Income, Assets and Liabilities where applicable. Please note that only short
