About LEU:
Living Earth Uganda
(LEU) is a natural resources and environmental management NGO that was
established and formally registered under the Non-Governmental Organizations
Registration Statute, 1989 and licensed to operate in Uganda in September 1999.
LEU promotes awareness and skills creation in environmental management, to
prompt communities and other stakeholders to translate the right ideas into
action.
Job Summary:  The Project Supervisor will be responsible for
the planning, management, co-ordination and financial control of the Project
Coordination Office. The Project Supervisor will be responsible for all Project
Staff and all the Property/Assets in a Coordination Office.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
·        
Work
with the Team Leader to prepare and 
agree on realistic  project  strategies, 
work plans with timeframe for implementing project activities and
budgets.
·        
Responsibility
for high quality implementation of project activities at coordination
office  ensuring maximum impact and
results.
·        
Provide
periodic narrative and financial reports for the project , against workplans
that meet the necessary reporting requirements and requests for information
from the donors .
·        
Monitor
and supervise the implementation of activities of the project under the
assigned coordination office
·        
Work
closely with any Consultants and Technical Advisors to ensure that their inputs
and expected outputs are produced within the specified timeframe.
·        
Support
LEU in the development of funding proposals in order to upscale the project
where appropriate.
·        
Carry
out other duties as assigned by the Team leader.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
·        
The
applicant must hold a first degree in Project Management, Business
Administration, Commerce, Economics, and Development studies. Post graduate
training in related field is an added advantage
·        
At least
4 years managerial experience in implementing similar projects
·        
Substantial
experience of strategic engagement and coordination of stakeholders from a
variety of different sectors – including the private sector, national/local
government, public sector bodies and civil society.
·        
Three years
of prior experience of managing partnerships as well as implementing donor
projects. Knowledge of key donors requirements(EU , DFID, UNDP), familiarity
with their rules and regulations is highly essential.
·        
Demonstrable
knowledge of working in Humanitarian programmes i.e with refugees is desirable.
·        
Understanding
and commitment to gender equality approaches in project delivery.
·        
Demonstrated
ability to meet deadlines and work cooperatively with partners
·        
Proven
skills & experience in report writing, documentation,  team management and project management skills
·        
Strong
analytical skills, strategic thinking and advocacy
·        
Excellent
interpersonal, and communication (verbal and written) skills
·        
Excellent
budget management skills
·        
Good
working knowledge of computer programmes including  MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
·        
Ability
to work with limited supervision
