28:16-20. This is done in a holistic approach of ministering love to the
hurting world which includes also Child development ministry.
will support the demands of the holistic child development program for all its
beneficiaries, and the provision of information needed by sponsors/donors. The
Child Development Officers report to and are supervised by the Project
Director. These are team members and must exhibit a high sense of integrity.
- Serve as an advocate for children and caregivers.
- Take lead of the children’s and sponsor’s correspondence,
communications and child updates. - Ensure monitoring and tracking of child participation in the
program. - Initiates generation of the annual health work plan and coordinates
its implementation with emphasis on prevention of diseases among the
beneficiaries. - Coordinates medical care and distribution of provisions to the
identified beneficiaries such as children and caregivers. - Ensures proper documentation and record keeping of all
health-related issues for the beneficiaries with utmost confidentiality. - Works closely with the local church in developing their childcare
ministry. - Responsible for the physical, cognitive and economic development of
the sponsored children. - Plans and coordinates health related trainings, information,
education and communication (IEC).
- The applicant must be a mature born-again Christian with a sound
testimony. - The applicant must hold a Diploma in any of the following: nursing,
primary healthcare, community health, clinical medicine, education/social
work administration. - Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience and current knowledge of HIV/AIDS intervention will be an
added advantage. - Formal training in counselling and child development wd be an added
advantage. - Good computer skills.
- Customer service orientation.
- Working ability to apply and adapt to established accounting
procedures to a variety of accounting transactions, problems and
situations. - Good written communication skills and strong verbal communication
skills - Should be prepared to work beyond normal working hours as need
arises. May be required to travel to Compassion office for official duty
from time to time as well as for training and staff retreat - Age: 25-35 years
