Rescue Committee helps people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by
conflict and disaster to survive, recover, and gain control of their future. It
was created by Albert Einstein more than 80 years and has been working in
Uganda since 1998. It has particularly working in the conflict zones where tens
of thousands of people have been kills and over 1.6 million displaced.
Following a peace agreement in 2006, Ugandans are returning home and looking to
rebuild their lives. The IRC is there to protect women and children from
violence and exploitation by fostering a safe environment and encouraging
education, and is supporting farmers and small businesses, and helping
communities promote peace and long-term development.
hygiene maintenance duties at the IRC Kyaka office as assigned on a daily basis
by the supervisor
- Infection control at the work premises.
- Collect rubbish from the compound
- Discard non medical waste from the rubbish bins on the compound
- Sort waste .
- Ensure that the IRC property and surroundings are clean and waste is
burnt as per the proper waste disposal guidelines. - Ensure that all cleaning materials are well distributed and the
balances kept safely. - Assist the store keepers in the arranging of items in the stores
- Assist to serve and attend to visitors’/staff refreshments during
functions & meetings - Report to the Supervisor any faults with any machine/tool or any
other problem noticed while performing maintenance duties - Promote the vision, mission and the values of IRC as expressed in
the policies, regulations & guidelines of the Organisation. - Ensure health, safety, and security in your area of operation
- Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor
- Well maintained IRC premises
- Proper utilisation of IRC cleaning/support materials
- Hygienic environment at IRC or Field office or work station.

Assistant job must hold a Certificate in House Keeping/ Nursing Aide - One year of relevant experience as a cleaner or nursing aide or
