Supervisor
(LEU) is a natural resources and environmental management NGO that was
established and formally registered under the Non-Governmental Organizations
Registration Statute, 1989 and licensed to operate in Uganda in September 1999.
LEU promotes awareness and skills creation in environmental management, to
prompt communities and other stakeholders to translate the right ideas into
action.
officer will be responsible for project activities’ implementation on day to
day basis.
Tasked
with drawing detailed activities’ work plan for project implementation for the
assigned portfolio
Implementing
all field project activities including identification of beneficiaries
Responsible
for handling all interventions to beneficiaries benefitting from the project
(s) including working with consultants engaged by the Institution.
Supporting
the project supervisor in monitoring and supervision of the implementation of
project activities.
Providing
briefs to the Project Supervisor and management about the progress,
constraints, challenges, lessons learned and achievements encountered during
the course of implementing the project activities.
Work
with the M&E Officer in project Database management and research.
Provide
periodic timely and accurate reports to the immediate supervisor but also other
stake holders with approval of LEU management.
Creating
and strengthening existing linkages with all stakeholders to ensure successful
project implementation.
Collection
of all materials that can be used for documentation purposes, and publicity.
Perform
any other duties assigned from time to time by management.
The
applicant must hold a first degree in Education, Social Studies, Commerce,
Business Administration, Economics, Development studies or other relevant
field. Post graduate qualifications in the related fields is an added
advantage.
Demonstrated
ability to meet deadlines
Possess
skills in report writing, and documentation
Ability
to work in a rural environment and frequent travel on rough roads.
Excellent
interpersonal, and communication (verbal and written) skills
Ability
to speak fluently at least two local
languages from Northern, Western, and
Albertine regions.
Good
working knowledge of computer programmes including MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Possession
of a clean riding permit for motorcycles is an added advantage.
