About US:
The National
Agricultural Research Organisation (NARO) is established by the National
Agricultural Research Act 2005 as a body corporate with the mandate to provide
strategic direction for publically funded agricultural research in Uganda. The
organisation is composed of the Council as its governing body, Committees of
Council, a Secretariat for its day-to-day operations with semi-autonomous
Public Agricultural Research Institutes (PARI’s) under its policy guidance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Carrying out routine checks for repairs and maintenance of electrical
    equipment ;
  • Installing, maintaining and operating electrical equipment;
  • Repairing and maintaining electrical works;
  • Testing electrical equipment for proper operation;
  • Interpreting drawings;
  • Carrying our inspection of electrical works;
  • Maintaining appropriate service and repair records;
  • Complying with safety guidelines and procedures; and
  • Responding to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidates for the National Agricultural Research
    Organisation (NARO) Electrician job should hold an Ordinary Diploma in
    Electrical Engineering from a reputation institution
  • A minimum of three years working experience in a reputable
  • Age: Below 45 years
