About US:
The National
Agricultural Research Organisation (NARO) is established by the National
Agricultural Research Act 2005 as a body corporate with the mandate to provide
strategic direction for publically funded agricultural research in Uganda. The
organisation is composed of the Council as its governing body, Committees of
Council, a Secretariat for its day-to-day operations with semi-autonomous
Public Agricultural Research Institutes (PARI’s) under its policy guidance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carrying out routine checks for repairs and maintenance of electrical
equipment ; - Installing, maintaining and operating electrical equipment;
- Repairing and maintaining electrical works;
- Testing electrical equipment for proper operation;
- Interpreting drawings;
- Carrying our inspection of electrical works;
- Maintaining appropriate service and repair records;
- Complying with safety guidelines and procedures; and
- Responding to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidates for the National Agricultural Research
Organisation (NARO) Electrician job should hold an Ordinary Diploma in
Electrical Engineering from a reputation institution - A minimum of three years working experience in a reputable
organization - Age: Below 45 years
