Healthy Communities (CHC) is a five- year program implemented through a
cooperative agreement between the United States Agency for International
Development USAID/Uganda) and FHI 360. The project is designed to support the
Government of Uganda and partners to design and implement quality health
communication interventions to contribute to reduction in HIV Infections, total
fertility, maternal & child mortality, malnutrition, malaria &
tuberculosis. CHC works with Ministry of Health and partners to rollout a
nationwide OBULAMU integrated health communication platform through: Mass
media; outdoor media; social and digital media; and, inter personal
communication (IPC).
shall provide support in the areas of budgeting, advance and accountability
processing, data compilation, administration and logistical processing for the
regional office, working closely with the Regional Technical Manager, Regional
Communications Officer and the finance team at the Country Office.
- Maintain, reconcile and replenish a cash loat for daily regional
operational expenses. - Assist with preparation and processing of activity budgets with
related paperwork. - Provide support with advance requests and follow up with country
office finance team. - Handle schedule for field activities and secure venues where
necessary, arrange for transport and the necessary logistics - In liaison with relevant staff, initiate and coordinate travel
itinerary, hotel reservations and other travel logistics for regional
office visitors and consultants. - Assist with processing procurement requests and follow through with
programme associate and the office manager. - Review all accountabilities from the regional staff before
submitting to finance department for processing - Maintain a fixed asset register for all assets and ensure these are
safely maintained in line with FHI 360 requirements
- The applicants for the USAID FHI 360 Regional Finance &
Administrative Assistant jobs must hold Bachelor’s degrees in Commerce,
Business Administration, Finance or Accounting OR Certified Public
Accountants (CPA) qualifications - Three years of progressive, relevant experience in finance, grants or
audit in an international NGO/busy office setting. - Previous experience on a US government funded project is an added
advantage - Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to handle multiple and conflicting priorities, to work under
pressure and to observe and work under strict compliance regulations and
deadlines - Strong analytical and result-oriented skills
