Job Summary: The Procurement and Logistics Assistant will
assist in the efficient and effective, procurement, logistics and IT management
of the Yumbe field office, with a particular focus on the management of the
procurement and logistics needs of the UNHCR project portfolio.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct activities associated with the delivery and receipt of goods
and services from vendors while adhering to the set guidelines - Maintain a well-organized filing system for all the procurement
documents processed in the department - Actively participate in procurement activities while ensuring the
set prolog standards and guidelines are followed - Take part in ensuring the organizational vehicles in the office are
well managed, serviced and allocation schedules effectively done to avoid
shortages - Maintain an effective storage and inventory system while updating it
on monthly basis - Supervise drivers and other service staff as maybe assigned
- Support in ensuring the security of the employees and the office
premises is effectively managed at all times. - Support the projects staff to prepare procurement documents
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the DanChurchAid (DCA) Procurement and
Logistics Assistant job placement must hold a B.Sc. in procurement and
logistics or other relevant discipline - Three years of experience working in procurement and logistics with
humanitarian Organizations - Proven capacity to prioritize tasks, plan and organize your own
efforts to meet objectives and deadlines. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Previous experience with other local and international NGOs
- Understanding of the West Nile context and local languages will be
an added advantage. - Must possess a valid riding permit
