Job Summary:  The Process Development Manager will be tasked
with leading the design of assigned health commodity supply chain processes for
new and existing initiatives, ensuring that processes are designed to be fully
executable. Responsible for leading continuous improvement teams across the
organization to create simpler optimal business functions and processes for
clients and staff.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Design and implement a standardized framework to assess all proposed
    new and existing supply chain initiatives at BLL. Lead teams to develop
    and implement new value chain processes (of how they will work) in order
    to create solutions that add value, simplify existing processes and
    eliminate waste.
  • Lead ideation processes across the business that ignite and inspire
    creativity to bring out the best ideas within our organization. Partner
    throughout the business to lead ideation sessions on key areas of
    operation focus.
  • Provide process expertise to assess the level of complexity within
    the assigned focus area when appropriate.
  • Lead process improvement methodology and use process maps to
    identify improvement areas, risks, critical paths and impact of process
    change to drive innovation, find solutions and optimize business opportunities.
    Share complex results in a format that is easily understandable for
    partners/end users.
  • Develop, monitor and execute program plans based on formal program
    methodology; defining methodology and approach to solve complex business
    problems, specifying goals aligned with business objectives, managing
    issues and risks, strategy, budgets, scheduling, contingency plans and
    allocation of available resources.
  • Determine appropriate system strategies, methodology, tools, and
    process required to support new initiatives and updated programs. Define
    the metrics and program roadmap by which ongoing project success will be
    measured.
  • Partner with operational support teams, developing training
    programmes to manage change, ensuring proper hand-off between testing to
    rollout phase and ongoing conversations for any processes that require a
    re-build. Provide specifications and requirements to IT in order to
    synchronize physical processes and SOPs with currently deployed ERP /
    Logistics Management Information systems.
  • Identify, eliminate and / or manage supply chain process risks
    within the organization. Manage issues, risk management, escalation
    processes, and continuous improvement through a portfolio management
    system.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of an efficient and
    effective Quality Assurance system to ensure teams can routinely achieve
    the desired quality, customer experience, and business result. This
    includes development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures
    (SOPs) that support good distribution practices.
  • Manage relationships with all regulatory and certifying
    organizations.
  • Benchmark other companies and research new capabilities that might
    be useful to simplify the work experience in our operations.
  • May provide overall direction and support for team and monitor and
    assess individual work in accordance with high standards of excellence.
    May also provide feedback, coaching, support, participate in hiring
    decisions/performance appraisals/career development conversations when
    appropriate.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant must hold a Degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical
    Sciences, Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain. Monitoring
    & Evaluation Training & MBA are a plus.
  • At least three years of related business experience, with extensive
    process design experience.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain Technologies and
    the critical cost and efficiency drivers of supply chain operations.
  • Makes decisions that are ‘fact’ based, using well developed
    quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Ability to identify and act on opportunities. Finds effective
    solutions to challenges using innovation, experience, knowledge and
    technologies.
  • Strong project management ability, Prior experience in managing
    multiple complex cross-functional projects simultaneously and in aligning
    resources with relevant projects.
  • Track record of Leadership through influence, and effective
    continuous improvement. Change Management Champion – preferably with
    Six-Sigma or similar training.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to simplify
    complex processes and present ideas in a clear and concise manner. Highly
    skilled in Microsoft Office suite applications.
