Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • The coordination of integrated planning (both the long and medium
    term planning) for Uganda in terms of process, governance and tools (using
    Primavera);Transverse management of project planners and in close
    collaboration with Business, Reservoir, Drilling, Project and Operations
    entities – to cover activities of Total EP Uganda (project, technical and
    commercial) as well as coordinating planning interfaces with EACOP, Joint
    Venture Partners(JVPs) and third parties such as Uganda National Roads
    Authority UNRA, Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA);Updating and
    optimizing the drilling sequence for the Tilenga project. Supporting
    management decision making by analysing the overall integrated planning
    and highlighting changes to original plans and suggesting corrective
    measures.
  • Corporate Planning activities : Compiling input to the Long Term
    Plan (costs, planning, perimeter);Participating in the economics and
    financial evaluation of the Long Term Plan, and preparing presentations
    and other outputs as required; and taking part in other corporate planning
    activities as required (budget – reserve definition).
  • Development activities : Coordinating with the economist, the
    economic evaluations and comparisons of scenarios (project execution,
    drilling sequence, technical or commercial conditions); Coordinating and
    consolidating development studies from different departments or Project
    entities and Head Quarters, into Field Development Plans; Coordinating
    Planning & Economic inputs into the Field Development Plans; When
    necessary, participate in technical development studies ;Preparing or
    reviewing Scope of work, act as technical duet for contractual aspects
    with local contractors, or coordinate with Head quarter entities (internal
    studies).
  • Handling Joint Venture activities as follows; Supporting the
    technical follow up of the Kingfisher Asset, participating in Workshops;
    coordinating technical documentation review and comments follow up;
    Monitoring the technical activities of the partners, and interface with
    Project to improve whenever possible planning, synergies, interfaces and
    standards.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • At least ten years’ experience in Oil and Gas.
  • Proven Experience in Oil and Gas Project Development &
    Operations.
  • Good communication and analytical skills
  • Organized and dynamic, open-minded and diplomatic
