Job Summary: The Network Administrator will plan, direct,
and coordinate the design, installation, and connectivity of computer systems
and network infrastructure to ensure the stable operation of the organization’s
IT assets. This includes configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing
all new and existing network hardware, software, and communication links. This
role is also responsible for telephone, data center, security systems and other
electronic infrastructure.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain a stable WAN/LAN/Internet network infrastructure through
constant monitoring of both availability and quality of the links. - Liaise with the different Network service providers and ensure
service provision meets the SLAs - Manage internal and external access control to the Bank network by
reviewing and updating ACL on all firewalls at different layers. - Analyze existing network security controls and recommend/implement
addition layers of security. - Manage different Microsoft products and services ie Server Operating
systems, exchange online, O365, DNS, DHCP. - Configure, monitor and manage the Active directory service for
authentication, SSO, file permissions etc. - Develop systems to regularly update/upgrade software images of all
network devices, and monitor their performance. - Manage Disaster Recovery preparedness for both critical services and
branches. - Participate in ICT ongoing projects relating to, storage, email,
servers, network infrastructure and any other related services. - Ensure backup of all critical servers and services as per the Data
backup policy. - Maintain an updated Asset inventory of all Network and Server
Systems of the bank. - Prepare weekly, monthly and annual reports pertaining network
infrastructure. - Attend to user requests logged in the ICT helpdesk as per the user
service charter.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the Finance Trust Bank (FTB) Network Administrator
job opportunity should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science,
Electrical Engineering or other related fields - At least three years of experience in a Network Administration role
in a large organization (500 users and above) - Certification in CISCO Networking (CCNA) and MCSE are a must have.
- Excellent knowledge of current protocols and standards, including
Active Directory, MS Exchange, Core Switching/Routing, SSL/IPSec. - Advanced knowledge in operation and implementation of Virtualized
systems and SAN. - Experience with modern proprietary and open-source monitoring tools
is a must. - Exhibit good understanding of new and common network and security
technologies. - A keen attention to details.
- Ability to work long hours with minimal supervision.
