Uganda are livelihoods and food security, humanitarian response, and civil
society development.
Job Summary:   The
Livelihoods Assistant will support all livelihoods activities under the UNHCR
funded project in BidiBidi Refugee settlement. The activities include VLSAs,
IGAs, cash for work, capacity building of farmers and provision of
agric-inputs. Furthermore, the Livelihoods Assistant will support cash-based
interventions, including vouchers for agric-inputs, protection grants to
farmers, data collection, including baseline, post distribution monitoring
using digital tools, market prices, and market complaints handling using MMT.
He/she will also be responsible for commodity quality control, troubleshoot any
vendor interface challenges, and assist beneficiaries in market transaction.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
with the identification, registration and verification of beneficiaries,
working together with staff in Cash and Markets interventions and in
implement the day to day activities according to work plans and technical
in Zonal coordination meetings
in trainings with target beneficiaries in livelihoods activities
take part in trainings at field level
mobilize beneficiaries
and document DCA’s livelihood activities
Prepare reports
to contribute to the weekly, monthly and other reports

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
ideal candidate for the DanChurchAid (DCA) Livelihoods Assistant job placement
must hold a B.Sc. in Agriculture, Economics and or business development or
related field
years of relevant work experience especially in refugee settlements
working with livelihoods especially VLSAs, IGAS, supporting farmers
literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint) with ability to work with data
bases and statistical software packages
digital data collection using mobile monitoring technology (MMT) 
communication skills and ability to write good reports
of the West Nile context and local languages will be an added advantage.
possess a valid riding permit
