Consultants Limited is a Human Resource Consultancy firm in Uganda.
Job Summary:  The Human Resource Executive will be
responsible for providing human resources support and ensuring effective, and
efficient service delivery.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
Payroll Management
  • Processing both Midmonth and End month Payrolls for Staff within
    Company.
  • Receiving and analyzing Staff overtime to minimize cost to company
  • Processing School Fees for staff and analyzing staff school fees
    documents submitted to avoid fraud and loss to company
  • Processing Staff NSSF within Company’s agreed timelines
  • Processing Local Service Tax for all staff and ensuring its
    remittance to Government in the agreed timelines to avoid penalties.
  • Calculating Gratuity Benefit for exiting staff
  • Managing Staff loans and ensuring recovery is done within agreed
    timelines
  • Preparation of the full and final settlement for persons exiting the
    company
  • Sensitize employees on the Statutory Deductions and any new tax laws
    imposed by Government
Performance
Management
  • Follow up with all staff to ensure that their action plans are
    timely submitted for tracking
  • Receiving all the performance goal sheets and capturing them in the
    system for proper record Management
  • Analyzing performance for all staff through their scores and
    advising HODs on the required course of action for performance
    improvement.
  • Processing Incentives for staff performing within the expected
    standards of the company
  • Providing feedback to all staff on their monthly performance
    achievements
  • Tracking staff on probation and advising HODs on the new hire
    probation progress
  • Preparing monthly reports on performance and submitting them to HODs
    and HR Manager.
  • Track employee productivity on a monthly basis and give feedback to
    Management.
Implementation of
Training Programs
  • Coordinate Training needs assessment exercise for all staff to
    identify the types of trainings needed for each staff.
  • Training budget is prepared for the year based on the training needs
    identified.
  • Determine the best means of delivering training i.e. using internal
    or external trainers
  • Ensure training materials are prepared and ensure the training
    course meets its objectives.
  • Considering the costs of planned training programmes and keeping
    within the approved budget.
  • Monitor the number of employees who are planned to take part in
    trainings vs. actual attendance.
  • Training feedbacks both immediate and long term should be tracked
    for each employee.
  • Track the number of training programs that can be covered internally
    vs. externally.
  • Monitor the number of training programs that match the employee’s
    personal requirements.
  • Track the average number of trainings requested by employees but not
    offered.
Evaluation training
effectiveness.
  • Ensure all participants do assessment after training and results are
    kept on training file.
  • Ensure employees learn and that training they receive helps the
    organization meets strategic goals and achieve results
  • Monitoring and reviewing the progress of trainees through
    questionnaires and discussion with managers.
  • Set human resource development objectives and evaluates learning
    outcomes.
  • Track & monitor the number of employees whose productivity has
    increased after training.
Employee
Development / Career Growth
  • Report on the number of employees whose individual goal sheets have
    improved because of the training
  • Number of employees who have been promoted because of the changes from
    the training programs.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources
    Management or related field
  • Two years of work experience in related field with a reputable
    organization.
