Council (NPC) is a Government Agency established by an Act of Parliament in
2014 as a semi-autonomous institution under the Ministry of Finance, Planning
and Economic Development. The National
Population Council transitioned from the Population Secretariat that was
established in 1988. It is mandated to formulate and review the National
Population Policy, promote the integration of population variables in development
planning at all levels with emphasis in harnessing the Demographic Dividends
(DD) and mobilize resources for implementation of the National Population
Policy and Programme.

Management
- Tasked with planning and organizing the manpower resource through
recruitment, deployment, training, utilization and discharge - Providing technical advice to the Council and departments on matters related to Human
Resource Management - Monitoring staff performance through staff appraisal exercise to
ensure quality service delivery; - Assist in Preparing Human Resource Management work plans, budgets
and performance reports as instructed by the supervisor; - Interpret the Human Resource policies, rules, regulations and
procedures; - Provide assistance in the management of the payroll
- Compile, review and keep custody of staff records
- Manage staff welfare programme
- Coordinate processing and payment of terminal benefits.
- The applicant must hold an Honors Bachelor’s degree in Human
Resources Management or Social Work and Social Administration (SWSA) or
Social Sciences (with Personnel/ Human Resource Management as an
option) or Management Science or
Business Administration (Management) or Arts( with Personnel/ Human
Resource Management as an option) or Industrial and Organizational
Psychology from a recognized
University. - Two years’ experience in a similar or relevant position with
reputable organization - Human resource management skills,
