Women Educationalists (FAWE) Uganda Chapter is a Non-Governmental Organization
established in 1997 as part of the wider FAWE Network to address gender
disparities in Education.

- Ensure that the vehicles are in a good mechanical state at all times
- Ensure safety of the vehicles as well as the tools therein at all
times - Observe all road safety regulations and ensure that the vehicles are
compliant to the Road Safety Act and other related laws - Carry out simple mechanical repairs on the vehicle(s)
- Performs minor repairs, arranges for regular maintenance and ensures
that the vehicle(s) is kept clean and in good running condition(s) at all
times - Ensure availability of all the required documents/supplies including
vehicle insurance, first aid kits and necessary spare parts and tools are
in the assigned vehicle(s) - Carry out all pre and post driving checks on the vehicles before and
after any trip - Drives FAWEU staff and visitors to meetings, workshops and field
visits among others - Assists staff and other officials in loading and offloading items
from the car - Collects and delivers mail packages and equipment and maintains
records of all deliveries and distributions. - Maintains records for the vehicle(s), logs official trips, records
daily mileage, records the use of fuel cards and keeps records on fuel
consumption - Keeps track of insurance and other tax formalities
- The applicant must hold an O’ Level Leaver’s Certificate
- A Valid Driver’s License
- A Certificate in Basic Mechanics is essential
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience in a reputable
organization - Knowledge of defensive driving
- Knowledge of at least one of the local languages is essential
- High standard of integrity, discretion and loyalty
- Actively seeks out feedback on their performance (both results and
behaviors) with a view of continuous learning and growing - Self-driven and able to work under minimal supervision
- Proven ability to work effectively with others
- Excellent communication skills
