Women Educationalists (FAWE) Uganda Chapter is a Non-Governmental Organization
established in 1997 as part of the wider FAWE Network to address gender
disparities in Education.

implementation of the “Prevention of Violence Against Children in and Around
Schools” project activities in Bundibugyo, Kasese and Ntoroko Districts. She/he
has to ensure that high quality work is done in the delivery of services
towards achieving the objectives of the project.
- Actively participate in the Project Planning and budgeting processes
- Ensure that project specific activities are effectively and
efficiently implemented as per project calendar - Coordinate the trainings of different beneficiary categories as per
the project work plan - Organize and coordinate meetings with different categories as
outlined in the project work plan - Ensuring proper follow-up for proper implementation of outlined
activities among different stakeholders - Participate in the designing and roll out context specific income
generating activities and livelihood options for the respective
communities within the project districts. - Coordinate emergency response and implement Child protection
interventions to ensure maximum integration of synergies as projects are
implemented - Spearhead group formation and training of group members on VSLA
activities. - Prepare and submit good quality reports to the immediate supervisor
in a timely manner - Ensure clear documentation of project success stories as well as
filing and maintaining all project documents in both soft and hard copy
and submit on regular basis to the supervisor.
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Social
Science, Social Work and Social Administration, Development Studies, Adult
and Community Education or related field is essential - Post Graduate Training in Child Protection is essential
- A minimum of two years’ relevant experience in a reputable NGO
- Experience working in an education related environment will be of an
added advantage - Experience with working with livelihoods projects such as VSLA
- Experience in working with youth related projects
- Ability to ride a motorcycle with a valid riding license is
essential - Knowledge of at least one of the local languages is essential
- Computer Literacy (MS Word, Excel, Statistical Packages etc)
- Working knowledge of project
planning and management - Demonstrated capacity building skills
- High standard of integrity, discretion and loyalty
- Actively seeks out feedback on their performance (both results and
behaviors) with a view of continuous learning and growing - Self-driven and able to work under minimal supervision
- Proven ability to work effectively with others to achieve results
with strong people leadership skills and abilities - Demonstrated understanding of concepts and applications in
organizational learning and knowledge management - Demonstrated report writing skills
- Excellent communication skills
