About US:
The National Social
Security Fund (NSSF) is a Provident Fund mandated to provide social security to
its members as prescribed by law under CAP 222 (Laws of Uganda) through
efficient management of members’ contributions. The NSSF asset base is
currently over Ugx. 9.8  trillion, making the Fund one of the largest
players in Uganda’s economy.
Job Summary:  The project manager will lead all aspects of
the project management cycle, including preparing the project plan, allocating
resources, communication and meeting reporting requirements to ensure project
outcomes are achieved on time, on budget and to quality standards. He or she
will take full accountability for the successful implementation of the project
by coordinating the planning, design, testing, and implementation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Engage with all stake holders to obtain requirements to be able to
    effectively plan.
  • Create a clear Project Objective, execute and communicate the
    project progress to stakeholders and get their buy-in.
  • Create a well-defined project scope and schedule aligned to the
    objectives with embedded best project management practices and business
    change control process and get stakeholders buy-in and sign-off
  • Create a clear project plan for a quick and successful
    implementation and timely delivery
  • Provide end to end management to ensure project is successfully
    executed as per project scope and plan
  • Create, measure and ensure periodic reporting of project status to
    all stakeholders, develop & maintain standard report repository and
    build ad-hoc reports as & when required  
  • Ensure resource optimization of all project members
  • Provide end-to-end project leadership , coaching and ensure all
    tools, training & resources for project are available to the team
  • Ensure project quality standards are planned and maintained
    throughout the project
  • Ensure the project is periodically monitored for  risks and build mitigation plans
  • Ensure strong interface with oracle presales and support for the
    success of the project
  • Ensure the project has an effective communication plan to all stake
    holders
  • Lead and resolve ERP related service issues to ensure client
    satisfaction.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant for the National Security Social Fund (NSSF) Project
    Manager job placement must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
    from a recognized University
  • Must have Certified Project Skills such as Project Management
    Professional or equivalent
  • Must have Oracle Certifications in JDE EnterpriseOne and Oracle JDE
    EnterpriseOne Financials e.g. 
    Oracle SCM Cloud 2018 Presales Specialist, Oracle JD Edwards
    EnterpriseOne 9.2 Financial Management PreSales Specialist, JD Edwards
    EnterpriseOne Financial Management 9.2 Sales Specialist, Oracle Cloud
    Infrastructure Solution 2018 Sales Specialists.
  • Other Oracle Accreditations: Oracle Unified Method Level 1, Oracle
    Engagement Cloud 2018 PreSales Specialist, Oracle SCM Cloud 2018 PreSales
    Specialist, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.2 Presales Specialist , JDE
    EnterpriseOne Sales Specialist, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Solution 2018
    Sales Specialist.
  • 30 years’ experience in the IT Industry including offering Software
    Solutions, Applications, Software Projects of which 20 Years must be in
    Senior Capacity of leading and motivating the teams to success
  • 10 years’ experience in various Oracle’s ERP’s including Oracle JDE
    Enterprise One
  • 10 years with an Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and know how OEM’s
    plan products, plan products support Insight on how they plan and execute
    their Product Presales and Product Support Services.
  • JDE Implementation Management experience in East Africa 
  • Must be familiar/certified with Oracle Unified Method (OUM) the
    recommended Implementation Methodology
  • The applicant must have leadership, conceptual, analytical, and
    problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent team player, who can guide and support co-workers.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, negotiation, communication and
    report writing skills.
  • Must have strong IT skills (Word, Excel and Power point Presentation
    – PPT).
  • Time management skills and good attention to detail.
