Job Summary: The Informatics and Data Analyst will lead on
all aspects of program-related data management from design and framework to
collection, cleaning, processing and storage as well as retrieval according to
project needs. S/he will do regular analyses and support the grants and
publication teams. S/he will also lead on the development of databases,
creation of scorecards, and other platforms for logical presentation of data
online or in publication.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Create and manage
databases

- Manage data entry processes for large epidemiological field surveys
- Collate SQL databases into a master database
- Manage the daily flow of information on study appointments and data
collection - Managing existing data dictionaries from completed studies and
creation of data dictionaries for new studies - Conduct regular analyses of program data and present to management
- Support the research, publication, and grant proposal writing
processes
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Global Health Corps Informatics and Data
Analyst career placement should hold a Bachelor’s degree* - Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in informatics, medical informatics,
bioinformatics, computer science, IT, library science, programming,
business computing, or related field - Proficiency with SQL and visual basics*
- Knowledge of relational database analysis and design using
MySQL/MariaDB, Postgres, Oracle and SQLite* - Must be able to create and modify database queries, views, and
related objects* - Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Perl, R, Shell
Scripting, etc.)* - Experience working with controlled vocabularies, especially
biomedical ontologies - Experience with computer networking tools (e.g. Windows Server
Administration), automated form design, and/or programming web or
enterprise content management systems (CMS) - Experience with eLearning techniques and/or platforms
- Ability to design and deliver training on data management tools,
approaches to analysis, or learnings - Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to
describe translate complex information in accessible terms, both orally
and in writing - Excellent organizational, planning, and follow-through capabilities;
attention to detail is essential - Ability to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously
- Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with
co-workers, volunteer leaders, other organizations, and industry contacts;
tact, diplomacy, and good judgment are essential - Positive attitude in the workplace
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing daily activities and
schedules

- Award of $1500 upon successful completion of the fellowship year
