About US:
The National Social
Security Fund (NSSF) is a Provident Fund mandated to provide social security to
its members as prescribed by law under CAP 222 (Laws of Uganda) through
efficient management of members’ contributions. The NSSF asset base is
currently over Ugx. 9.8  trillion, making the Fund one of the largest
players in Uganda’s economy.
As part of our
technology transformation, NSSF would like to implement a proof of value
instance of Oracle’s ERP JD Edwards Enterprise One Version 9.2. With our shared
purpose of being the Social Security Provider of choice, providing exceptional
customer service with a workforce that is well motivated and skilled, we are
therefore looking for competent, experienced, self-motivated and hardworking
individuals to fill the following positions.
Job Summary:  The financial consultant will be responsible
for studying the existing Oracle Enterprise one 9.0 financial system instance
and thereafter configure and implement the 9.2 setup together with the senior
financial consultant. He or she will also be responsible for resolving any
identified integrity and setup issues within the finance module.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Support the Senior Financial Consultant in analysing the integrity
    issues
  • Gather and understand the business requirements and translate the
    same to the technical team
  • Fix the integrity issues before migration as per the guidelines from
    the senior financial consultant
  • Prepare test scripts
  • Carry out post migration functionality and customized objects test,
    post retrofit customized objects test
  • Compare finance Reports from both E1 9.0 and E1 9.2
  • Participate in the set up and upgrade of JDE 9.0 to 9.2
  • Set up customised functionalities in 9.0. These include WHT, VAT for
    both payables and receivable
  • Configure the rental income process in accordance with IFRS
  • Automate & train users in the use of automated JDE process e.g.
    Payments, Bank reconciliation, Receivables, auto applying of receipts.
  • Configure the system to allow bulk processing of payments &
    fixed assets
  • Set up and configure 9.2 chart of accounts including configuration
    like application constants, AAI, DMAAI etc.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant for the National Security Social Fund (NSSF) Senior
    Financial Consultant   job placement
    must hold a Master’s Degree in Finance, MBA or its equivalent
  • The applicant must have at least ten years’ experience in Oracle JD
    Edwards ERP and done at least 6 end to end implementation and migration
    projects in the JD Edwards Finance Module.
  • 15 years’ experience  in the
    IT Industry including offering Software Solutions of which 10 Years must
    be in Senior Capacity
  • Overseen at least 2 implementations or support in EnterpriseOne 9.2
  • The candidate should have experience of large scale global
    implementation and expert level knowledge in JD Edwards Accounts
    Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets configurations
    and business processes
  • The applicant must also be aware of the migration process in JDE and
    able to communicate technical details with CNC consultant
  • The applicant must be aware of 
    latest changes in the JD Edwards 9.2 Finance Module
