(GHC) is building a new generation of global health leadership. We believe that
solving the world’s most pressing global health challenges requires better and
more connected leaders who are able to work across traditional boundaries like
geography, sector, and issue area to engineer stronger global health systems.
We need more than clinicians and providers; we need management consultants,
engineers, artists, and architects. We need new leadership voices and new
perspectives, especially those representing the populations most often left out
and unheard.
Through a one-year fellowship
program, fellows address a wide-range of health issues with high-impact
grassroots organizations, NGOs, and ministries of health in Rwanda, Malawi,
Uganda, Zambia, and the United States. Fellowship positions are demand-driven,
ensuring that our fellows fill real-time health systems gaps and serve to
amplify the great work already in progress. Placement organizations benefit
from the skills and energy of fellows, as well as the support of GHC.  We are building a network of young
changemakers who share the common belief that health is a human right.
Job Summary:   The Engagement
and Learning Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Professional
Development and other GHC staff members to evaluate, curate and rollout
leadership trainings and events globally for our alumni. The candidate must be
able to effectively understand the needs of our global health leaders and
source learning opportunities that can further support their development. This
role requires innovative thinking and an out-of-the-box approach to learning The
role reports to the Director of Professional Development who is based in GHC’s
New York office.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
Learning
Partnerships Design, Development and Coordination
·        
Carry
out research and outreach to identify and evaluate new leadership and
professional development trainings and opportunities aligned with alumni needs.
Areas of learning for alumni include management, advocacy and communications,
social entrepreneurship and global health.
·        
Curate
and coordinate new learning partnerships and establish appropriate engagement
parameters, funding needs, Memorandum of Understanding, tracking, timing, etc.
Manage implementation or rollout requirements to alumni for these
opportunities.
·        
Coordinate
current learning partnerships, including online courses, in-person trainings,
and other activities.
·        
Coordinate
with GHC team on delivery of learning opportunities, appropriate internal and
external communications, and sharing back results.
·        
Regularly
update GHC’s Community Portal with key leadership and professional development
resources and materials.
Global Alumni
Engagement
·        
Coordinate
and support the GHC Alumni Mentorship Program, Advisor Program, and other
alumni engagement programs and events. Efforts include iterating on existing
program approach, increasing alumni participation and generating new materials
or resources to support these programs.
·        
Support
GHC staff in the execution of large-scale conferences and events, including GHC
Leadership Summits in the US, East Africa and Southern Africa. Responsibilities
include coordinating with facilitators and attendees, overseeing logistics and
event planning, and supporting plans and materials for all events.
·        
Develop
and lead on professional networking events that strengthen connections between
GHC Advisors, partners, fellows and the alumni community.
·        
Collaborate
with GHC staff and alumni to identify and arrange timely convenings which
support community building and create environment to pilot in various GHC
countries.
Team Support and
Coordination
·        
Support
project management and tracking systems for the global alumni program.
·        
Support
GHC Country Team staff focused on alumni engagement to ensure strong
participation and positive experiences of events and programs.
·        
Research
leadership development approaches that can inform GHC’s alumni programming and
partnerships.
·        
Identify
and implement other systems and/or processes to support alumni program efforts.
Monitoring and
Evaluation
·        
Support
and coordinate impact and learning tools by promoting surveys and other M&E
methods to the alumni community; assist in strategies and activities to
increase the numbers and diversity of respondents.
·        
Implement
appropriate tracking and monitoring of global alumni programs and activities.
·        
Set up
feedback loops from alums on GHC 
programming, i.e. annual survey, focus groups, etc

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
·        
The
applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree
·        
3-5
years work experience in leadership development, education, international
development, global health, social impact or related field
·        
Demonstrated
experience in implementing interactive learning and development experiences for
onsite, blended and online learning environments
·        
Understanding
of adult learning approaches and methodology
·        
Experience
with researching, building and sustaining strong partnerships and
relationships. Global or Africa regional partnership experience desirable.
·        
Experience
with event planning and/or program logistics management
·        
Familiarity
and comfortable working with technology platforms like Asana, Dropbox, Google
Drive, etc.
·        
Extremely
organized; able to manage multiple projects and priorities with ease
·        
Demonstrated
ability to take initiative and pursue new ideas to fruition
·        
An
innovative eye for improving systems
·        
Ability
to thrive in evolving and expanding program areas
·        
Knowledge
and passion for leadership development and community building
·        
Experience
working with people in a cross-cultural working environment preferred
·        
Commitment
to social justice and passion for global health equity
·
