drive Channel plans for the group data agenda which includes CHASE, DTM and all
data products. The position holder will Manage and coordinate Channel &
Direct Sales Representative (DSR) teams in the regions to ensure quality of
sales and achieve targets.
- Provide leadership in the creation and implementation of Data/Device
Channel/Outlet plans (strategy) - Implement and drive Channel plans for delivery data/device set targets
- Manage the execution of Channel plans and ensure Brand standards for
Channels are adhered to. - Manage the initiation and implementation of channel activations to
drive acquisitions especially in
data. - Manage and coordinate Regional Device Channel Developers teams to
ensure quality of sales and achieve targets. - Manage the execution of Channel plans and ensure Brand standards for
Channels are adhered to. - Liaise with the Regional Business Managers to ensure excellent
in-Trade activation and execution in line with Picture of Success. - Manage trade investments in emerging channels.
- Provide Channel and Shopper thought leadership for data/device
channel plans implementation. - Manage the initiation and implementation of channel activations to
drive acquisitions especially in data. - Build and maintain regular contacts with key channels to build
stronger relationships. - Prepare or Liaise with the respective stakeholders on the value proposition
to the consumers and device partners - Promote and ensure compliance with (MTN policies, processes and procedures,
overall objectives of the organization,
regulatory & legal) - Lead in establishing high
level stakeholder interactions with the relevant stakeholders. - Provide and grow sales innovation aligned to the vision mission and strategic
focus areas of the business. - Identify and meet sales opportunities, and strategically position MTN Uganda’s
data/device products for selling - Maintain professional working relationship with management, field and cross
functional personnel, as well as customers and industry partners. - Team management – coach and train team in-line with company and HR objectives,
carry-out regular development conversations and performance reviews to build and
develop talent
- The ideal candidate for the MTN Uganda Device Sales Manager job
placement should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration,
Commerce or any other related field. - A postgraduate qualification in a related field and professional
sales certification is an added advantage. - 5 years relevant work experience with at least 3 years in a
supervisory role. - 2 years’ experience in sales and distribution in a telecom company
or service industry - Structured and organized approach to communicate
- Hands-on approach to work.
