Hospital NICU. This involves supervising 10 Chief village Health Teams (vHTs),
recruiting 100 VHTs, providing continuous training and development, and
conducting home visits alongside VHTs for high-risk cases. The role requires a
passion for providing support to newborns and families during the postpartum
period, excellent management and clinical skills, and the ability to assist the
H2H study team in collecting data to inform the H2H programme.
- The ideal candidate must hold a Diploma in Nursing or Midwifery, or
Comprehensive Nursing - Knowledge of public health, newborn health and community midwifery,
and relevant professional experience - Able or willing to learn to ride a motorcycle, and work in
hard-to-reach areas - Strong project management skills, and experience managing and
motivating a team - Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a wide variety of
stakeholders, including children - Computer literate with excellent documentation and administration
skills - Fluency in Luganda and in spoken and written English to the tertiary
level
