Empowerment & Livelihood for Adolescents (ELA) Program

working in a number of countries in Africa and Asia on poverty alleviation
Programs, is registered in Uganda as BRAC Uganda. The organization implements
integrated development approach combining Education, Health, Agriculture,
Livestock, Adolescent Empowerment and Microfinance.
& Livelihood for Adolescents (ELA) Program for adolescents is designed to
socially and economically empower teenage girls through providing safe spaces
for them to socialize and receive mentoring, life skills and financial
literacy.
- Follow up and supervise Project Assistants in field activities
ensure effective implementation of the project. - Conduct and coordinate monthly meetings and participant in monthly
refreshers with mentors and the district staffs - Monitor and ensure the success of all trainings on life skills,
financial literacy, apprenticeship, livelihood and any other training. - Develop and maintain good communication and relationship with local
authorities, government officers and other NGOs - Identify available market for products made by the Project
beneficiaries. - Prepare, analyze, preserve & submit all necessary reports,
documents and budgets.
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies,
Social Sciences, gender studies or any other related subject. - Two years’ experience in community work operations.
- Should have knowledge on Sexual Reproductive health, GBV & SVAC
- Strong background on youth empowerment in vocational and life skills
- Ability to work in challenging rural and urban field locations
- Good computer skills in MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
- Good networking skills with local leaders, district officials, other
NGOs and related stakeholders. - Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrated by the ability to lead
and cooperation of others in a team. - Females are encouraged to apply.
