About US:
The Uganda Refinery
Holding Company (URHC) is a Private Limited Liability Company incorporated
under the Companies Act (2012). It is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Uganda
National Oil Company (UNOC) Ltd. The purpose of the URHC is to hold, on behalf
of UNOC, interest in the refinery project planned to be developed in Kabaale,
Hoima District and its associated infrastructure. URHC has also been given the
mandate to develop, operationalize and manage the 29.57 km2 Kabaale petro-based
Industrial Park (KIP).

Job Summary: The Trading Officer (Downstream) will be
responsible for implementing trading processes and carrying out related activities in downstream petroleum
operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement supply plans and schedules for petroleum products.
- Carry out reviews, benchmarks, and engagements with customers and
other company stakeholders. - Participate in local and regional market surveys and demand
analysis. - Monitor specifications of petroleum products to be procured.
- Execute safety and quality control measures to ensure compliance to
industry requirements. - Participate in executing logistics operations within the petroleum
products supply and distribution chain. - Prepare reports on petroleum products stock movements and sales for
the Company. - Attend to customer requirements and inquiries.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the
supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Business Administration Engineering,
Industrial Chemistry, Economics, Statistics, Commerce, Marketing, or any
other relevant degree. - Master’s Degree in the above fields will be an added advantage.
- At least five (5) years of relevant working experience.
- Relevant professional development training will be an added
advantage. - Demonstrable skills in working within teams and in client services.
- Training in HSE principles is an added advantage.
