Kiwoko Hospital is a
Private-Not-For-Profit Organization under Church Of Uganda, located in the
district of Nakaseke (Greater Luwero) and affi liated to the Uganda Protestant
Medical Bureau (UPMB). The Hospital is seeking to strengthen its staffing
position in order to effi ciently execute its medical services.
Job Summary:  The Human Resource Administration Manager is
directly responsible for the overall management, coordination, and evaluation
of the human resource function in a multicultural environment of Kiwoko
Hospital. The incumbent will maintain and enhance Kiwoko Hospital’s human
resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations, human
resources policies, programs, and practices.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • The HR/Administration Manager will be expected to formulate the HR
    strategy, lead the performance management function, implement best
    practices in employee entry, stay and exit processes. The postholder will
    be expected to mentor and/or build capacity of existing staff; develop,
    manage and co-ordinate the overall functioning of administrative support
    systems.
  • To be successful in this role, you should have a deep understanding
    of all administrative hospital procedures, from creating work schedules
    and communicating with health workers to budgeting and handling employee
    grievances and concerns. The post-holder will use their organizational and
    leadership skills to supervise employees, manage employee engagements, and
    ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Ultimately, post-holder will be responsible for making sure that
    Kiwoko Hospital operations run smoothly.
  • The post holder will be expected to work outside the normal role
    profile and be able to vary working hours when need arises.
  • The role requires an individual with a proven track record in
    relating with staff members, guiding and counseling staff members.
  • The individual must be an active Christian as Kiwoko Hospital is a
    vibrant Christian founded, highly professional hospital.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant must hold a first degree in Human Resource Management
    or humanities related courses. A postgraduate in Human Resource Management
    or closely related field is an added advantage.
  • Five years of progressive HR professional experience, three of which
    must have been at Senior Management level.
  • Proven work experience in similar role preferably in a
    hospital/health care, PNFP or an NGO setting.
  • Possess demonstrated success in supporting senior management, building
    relationships, and teamwork.
  • Broad knowledge and experience in Uganda Labor Laws, employee
    relations, training and development.
  • Previous experience in general office administration.
  • Be a person of integrity, and able to maintain high level confidentiality
    of staff personal information.
  • Professing Christians encouraged to apply (preferably Anglicans).
  • Willing and able to work in a remote up-country setting around
    Nakaseke district.
  • Computer literate and with extensive knowledge in the use of MS office
    packages.
