a period of 4 months, to be based in Kampala, Uganda and assist in the
administration of the financial/business functions of a unit, uses a variety of
computer software and systems to perform duties, performs tasks with work
priorities and general instructions provided by the supervisor, exercise
judgment in selecting and applying established procedures correctly and in
determining when to refer problems to the supervisor.
Support:
- Maintain Proper Finance office Files for easy access of required
documents. - Support the Finance & Grants officer in Filing Vouchers and
stamp the documents ‘PAID’. - Compile and record RATs and TERs submitted to Finance office for
payment and retirement respectively. - Support Finance & Grants Officer in following and tracking outstanding
Project staff advances. - Locating Travel and Workshop advance documents from the files for
photocopying. - Scanning of payment vouchers for onward transmission to Nairobi.
- Support the Finance & Grants Officer in preparation of Finance
procurement requests for approval. - Support the Finance & Grants Officer in verifying payment
documents. - Support in following up receipt(s) from service providers for VAT
reports that are submitted to USAID on quarterly basis.
and Inventory management:
- Support the Finance & Grants officer in carrying out inventory
reconciliation. - Render support in the requisition supplies and stationery from the
stores.
- The applicant for PATH International Finance Officer job placement
must hold a bachelor’s degree of commerce or business administration in
accounting. - At least two to three years of related financial/office experience
required. - Computer competency requiring word-processing, spreadsheet and
database software knowledge and experience.
