Job Summary:  The Environment & Social Risk Analyst will
be responsible  for  implementing 
Pride’s  Environmental  and 
Social  Risk  Management 
policy  and  will 
ensure  coordination,  reporting 
and  communication  among 
all  Pride  stakeholders 
with  regard  to  the  Environmental 
and  Social  Risk 
Management  through  the 
Head  Risk  Management. 
In  addition,  the 
position  will  oversee 
environmental  and  social 
risk  due  to 
diligence  in  all 
Pride’s  business  operations. 
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Assess  Pride’s  Business 
    environment  and  identify 
    the  relevant  E&S 
    risks.
  • Assess  the  environmental  and 
    social  risk  profile 
    to  optimise  business 
    growth  and  make 
    recommendations.
  • Contribute  to  policy 
    formulation  and  implementation.
  • Make  recommendations  for 
    formulating  Environment  and 
    Social  risk  policies 
    and  guidelines  that 
    Pride  will  follow 
    to  comply  with 
    E&S  requirements.
  • Oversee  environmental  and 
    social  risk  due 
    diligence. 
  • Develop  a  framework  for 
    the  measurement  and 
    control  of  E&S 
    risks.
  • Define  risk  indicators  and 
    tools  to  identify,  measure, 
    control  and  monitor 
    E&S  risks.
  • Verify  and  confirm 
    that  the  system, 
    policies  and  structures  of 
    E&S  are  working 
    effectively.
  • Work  with  Credit 
    department  and  other 
    stakeholders  to  develop 
    and  refine  the 
    business  environment.
  • Staff  empowerment  and 
    training.
  • Provide training  to  staff 
    on  environmental  and 
    social  risk
  • Support  the  Business 
    teams  on  advising 
    clients  regarding  environmental  and 
    social  issues  where 
    relevant.
  • Research  on  environmental  and 
    social  issues  and 
    thematic  topics  that 
    affect  Pride’s  business.
  • Research  a  range 
    of  environment  and 
    social  risk  issues 
    and  thematic  topics 
    that  affect  Pride’s 
    business  and  clients.
  • Analyse  and  present 
    opportunities  and  risks 
    inherent  in  potential  Pride 
    investments.
  • Ensure  that  issues 
    raised  are  integrated  into 
    Pride’s  strategic  business 
    plans  and  activities. 
  • Undertake  Environmental  and 
    Social  forecasting  for 
    appropriate 
    interventions/advice  to  the 
    business.
  • Perform  regular  scenario 
    analyses/stress  tests  on 
    the  environmental  Key 
    Risk  Indicators  to 
    test  business  resilience  in 
    case  of  adverse 
    events.
  • Identify  early  signals 
    of  increasing  risk 
    exposure  in  various 
    areas  of  Pride’s 
    operations. 
  • Ensure  that  Pride 
    has  appropriate  and 
    up-to-date  preventive  measures 
    as  well  as 
    measures  to  minimise 
    the  negative  effects 
    of  such  risks 
    in  case  they 
    happen. 
  • Reporting:
    Prepare  Internal  and 
    External  Stakeholder  Environmental  and 
    Social  Risk  management  reports 
    in  accordance  with 
    the  underlying  conventions  and 
    policy  guidelines.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  
  • The ideal candidate for the Pride Environment & Social Risk
    Analyst job placement should preferably hold a Bachelor’s  degree 
    in  a  relevant 
    field  (Agriculture,  Agribusiness,  Environmental  & 
    Social  Sciences).
  • At least two years of 
    previous  experience  in 
    environmental  and  social 
    risk
  • Strong client  and  commercial  focus.
  • Ability  to  work 
    in  a  collaborative  environment  with 
    input  from  multiple 
    stakeholders.
  • Keen attention  to  detail.
  • Knowledge  and  interest 
    in  environmental  and 
    social  issues.
