Examinations Officer
Health Examinations Board (UAHEB) was established by the BTVET Act 2008 to
streamline, regulate and coordinate examinations and awards in the Allied
Health Profession in Uganda. It is composed of thirteen (13) members drawn from
the constituencies involved in Health Training, Stake Holders and
Professionals.
Health Sciences will participate in the preparation, coordination and
management of examinations at the Secretariat.
- Coordinates the assessment of candidates specifically those of
Environmental Health Sciences. - Participates in examination processes and compiles reports.
- Prepares examination materials i.e. examination papers and practical
materials. - Verifies and analyzes the results of examinations, compiles and
disseminate reports. - Participate in the supervision of examiners, during the execution of
UAHEB activities - Maintains examiners and examination related records database.
- Participate in curricular harmonization
- Manages the examinations question bank.
- Conducts research in the field of assessment.
- Participates in continuous professional development activities
(CPD). - Attend staff and departmental meetings.
- Carries out any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
- All applicants should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental
Health Sciences, Diploma in Environmental Health Sciences with a minimum of a
Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Education or its equivalent from a
recognized awarding Institution. A Masters Degree in a health related
discipline is an added advantage. - At least three years of experience in examinations management.
- Proven integrity and confidentiality in handling public resources
and in executing duties as demonstrated by the letters from referees. - A current practicing license from the Allied Health Professionals
Council. - Good computer skills i.e. proficiency in MS computer applications.

transparency. - Age: Between 28 –
45 years
