Job Summary:    The Credit Supervisor – Agricultural Lending
will mainly monitor  and  accelerate 
growth  of  the 
credit  products  through 
supporting  the  branch 
credit  teams  in 
achieving  the  set 
operational  and  institutional 
targets.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
Support  the 
branch  staff  to 
book  agribusiness  loans 
and  ensure  portfolio 
growth.        
  • Notify  the  supervisor  of 
    branch  issues  arising 
    and  review  feedback 
    on  performance  of 
    Agriculture  lending  products
  • Review  loans  that 
    have  been  booked 
    for  further  approval 
    and  advise  SCM-ALS 
    as  appropriate.
  • Manage  relationships  for 
    big  loan  clients.
  • Review  and  recommend  for 
    approval  loans  exceeding  branch 
    approval  limits.
  • Share  performance  reports 
    with  the  branches 
    on  their  performance.
  • Mobilize  clients  for 
    credit  loan  products.
Prepare  Agriculture 
credit  reports  for 
management  and  branch 
staff.
  • Source,  prepare  and 
    provide  performance  analysis 
    report  credit  products.
  • Notify  branches  of 
    issues  arising  with 
    appropriate  solutions.
  • Review  performance  of 
    Agriculture  products  and 
    investigate  reasons  for 
    variances  and  recommend  solutions  where 
    necessary.
  • Timely  preparation  of 
    reports  for  all 
    Pride’s  business  partners 
    in  agricultural  finance
Mobilize  deposits 
to  reduce  on 
cost  of  borrowing.
  • Market  the  agriculture  credit 
    products  to  new 
    potential  borrowers.
Participate  in 
setting  of  branch 
targets  for  Agriculture 
products  in  line 
with  Credit  Business 
set  projection  figures.
  • Conduct  case  load 
    analysis.
  • Review  of  the 
    products  targets  and 
    analyze  anticipated  growth 
    trends.
Support  branch 
credit  staff  achieve 
the  set  credit 
targets  through.
  • Training  of  credit 
    teams.
  • Review  turnaround  time 
    of  loans  and 
    advise  the  SCM 
      ALS
  • Review  and  monitor 
    compliance  to  credit 
    policies  and  make 
    recommendations  for  corrective  action 
    where  lapses  are 
    noted.
  • Assist  in  addressing  issues 
    raised  in  internal 
    and  external  audits.
  • Participate  in  the 
    recruitment  and  selection  of 
    staff.
  • Conduct  visitations/spot  checks 
    in  AECS  to 
    enforce  the  cardinal 
    principal  of  group 
    agricultural  lending.
Follow  up 
and  recover  written-off 
loans  and  support 
branches  in  recovery.
  • Monitor  quality  of 
    assets  in  the 
    product  portfolio  and 
    initiate  action  to 
    improve  performance.
Ensure  that 
all  lending  related 
client  complaints  received 
are  addressed.
  • Verify  customer  complaints  and 
    compliments  registers.
  • Ascertain  the  percentage  of 
    resolved/escalated  client  inquiries  and 
    complaints  and  advise 
    SCM    ALS 
    in  a  timely 
    manner.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  
  • The ideal candidate for the Pride Credit Supervisor – Agricultural
    Lending job placement should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree  in 
    Agriculture, 
    agribusiness 
    management,  agriculture  economics,  agriculture  education  and 
    extension,  agriculture  and 
    rural  innovation  or 
    any  related  field.
  • Three years of  working  experience  as 
    a  Credit  Supervisor  or 
    Credit 
    Officer-Agricultural 
    Lending.
  • Business  Acumen  skills.
  • Problem  solving  and 
    decision-making  skills.
  • Communication  and  reporting  skills.
  • Planning  and  administration  skills
  • Analysis  skills.
  • Team  work  and 
    interpersonal  skills.
  • Age: Below 35 years.
