About US:
The Uganda Refinery
Holding Company (URHC) is a Private Limited Liability Company incorporated
under the Companies Act (2012). It is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Uganda
National Oil Company (UNOC) Ltd. The purpose of the URHC is to hold, on behalf
of UNOC, interest in the refinery project planned to be developed in Kabaale,
Hoima District and its associated infrastructure. URHC has also been given the
mandate to develop, operationalize and manage the 29.57 km2 Kabaale petro-based
Industrial Park (KIP).

Job Summary: The Corporate Strategy Manager will support
Chief Executive Officer in the formulation and monitoring of the Corporate
strategy and support the implementation of strategic initiatives to grow institutional
capabilities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- To lead the formulation of all strategy documents for UNOC and UNOC
Subsidiary companies. - Develop an appropriate monitoring and evaluation framework for the
strategy based on the Balance Scorecard approach - Prepare periodic progress reports and exceptional reports on
institutional performance against the strategic plans and initiatives - Co-ordinate the periodic review and refining of strategy to ensure
that all strategic initiatives are delivered according to the agreed
specifications, budgets and timelines. - Develop materials that enable the organisation-wide strategy
cascading process. - Carry out research on the industry and external and internal
operating environment issues and emerging trends affecting the UNOC’s
strategic direction. - Review business performance for trends, correlations and cause
effect relationships and report findings with recommendations for
Management consideration. - Support the review and development of business policy and processes
in conjunction with the respective Heads of Departments - Coordinate the process of developing, harmonizing and consolidating
the UNOC’s overall annual work plans and project plans in line with the
strategic plan. - Any other duties assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Master’s in Business Administration or any other relevant master’s
degree - Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences,
Organizational Development, Engineering and any other relevant degree. - Professional Certification in Project Management is an added
advantage. - 8 Years’ experience in busy environment.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of Balance Score Card and dash
boards. - Demonstrated experience is strategy development and monitoring.
- Possess leadership, teamwork, project management, strategic think
skills, and ability to inspire and influence others. - Demonstrated experience change management and stakeholder
management. - Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills. j)
