About US:
The Uganda Refinery
Holding Company (URHC) is a Private Limited Liability Company incorporated
under the Companies Act (2012). It is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Uganda
National Oil Company (UNOC) Ltd. The purpose of the URHC is to hold, on behalf
of UNOC, interest in the refinery project planned to be developed in Kabaale,
Hoima District and its associated infrastructure. URHC has also been given the
mandate to develop, operationalize and manage the 29.57 km2 Kabaale petro-based
Industrial Park (KIP).
Job Summary:  The Clerk/Librarian will provide clerical
support to the legal team as well as manage the departmental library.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • To support the legal team in ensuring that all relevant filings are
    done timely and efficiently.
  • To ensure that all documents that require service are properly
    served and in time.
  • To ensure that all required regulatory licences, authorisations,
    documentations and memberships are efficiently obtained.
  • To record and ensure safety of all library materials of the
    department.
  • To provide support in ensuring proper filing of departmental
    documentation.
  • To provide support in any other matter of a clerical nature.
  • To perform any other duties assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • A Diploma in Law
  • Any other relevant qualification is an added advantage.
  • The candidate must have at least 3(three) years’ experience in a
    busy corporate entity of high repute preferably a busy law firm.
  • The candidate must have excellent work ethic.
  • Excellent judgment and ability to anticipate issues or risks
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to
    take good decisions based on judgment are absolutely essential.
  • High level of integrity
  • Proven track record of outstanding performance
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work and produce results in an environment with multiple
    challenging tasks.
