Job Summary:   The Cashier – Foreign Exchange will
provide  foreign  exchange 
services  to  clients 
and  process  cash 
transactions  in  the 
national  and  foreign 
currencies  as  per 
the  approved  guidelines. 
Receiving  and  posting 
all  cross-count  transactions 
and  attending  to  all  Customer 
queries  to  ensure 
customer  satisfaction  and 
Business  growth.  Cashier 
Forex  reports  to 
the  Operations  Supervisor.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
Handle  all 
deposits  and  withdrawal 
transactions  according  to 
Pride’s  policies  and 
procedures.
  • Buy  and  sell 
    foreign  currency  cash 
    to  the  customers  at 
    the  approved  rates
  • Answer  inquiries  regarding  foreign 
    exchange  rates  and 
    the  compliance  requirements  Receive 
    cash  deposits  from 
    customers.
  • Observe anti- money laundering 
    guidelines.
  • Verifying  customer  information  in 
    the  system 
Buy  and 
sell  foreign  currency 
to  the  customers 
at  the  approved 
rates.
  • Provide  foreign  exchange 
    services  to  clients 
    and  process  cash 
    transactions  in  the 
    national  and  foreign 
    currencies.
  • Check  whether  the 
    money  being  accepted 
    is  genuine,  valid 
    and  intact.
  • Record all foreign exchange transactions.
Contribute towards
the enhancement  of  Pride’s 
corporate  image.
  • Interact  and  market 
    company  products  to 
    customers
  • Quickly respond to customer service issues and  avail 
    feedback  to  enquiries.
Exercise care to safeguard  cash.
  • Check identification, verify 
    details  and  account 
    numbers  before  posting.
  • Account  for  and 
    reconcile  cash  at 
    the  end  of 
    the  day.
  • Keep records  and  transaction  documents  (filling 
    of  documents).
Answer  inquiries 
regarding  foreign  exchange 
rates  and  the 
compliance  requirements:
Comply 
with  all  statutory 
and  regulatory  requirements.
Prepare daily/weekly/  monthly 
foreign  and  national  currency 
transaction  reports:
  • Complete  and  submit 
    accurate  daily,  weekly, 
    monthly  foreign  as 
    well  as  national 
    currency  transaction  reports. 
  • Customer relationship management.
  • Support  the  implementation  of 
    KYC  and  prevent 
    money  laundering  practices.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  
  • The ideal candidate for the Pride Cashier – Foreign Exchange job
    placement should preferably hold  a
    Diploma  in  of 
    Commerce,  Economics,  Microfinance,  Development  Economics,  Development  studies, 
    Business  studies,  Accounting  and 
    Finance,  Marketing,  Financial  Services,  International  Business,  Business 
    Computing,  Business  Statistics,  Entrepreneurship  & 
    Small  Business  Management,  Social 
    Sciences,  SWASA,  Education,  Mass.Com,  Leisure 
    and  Hospitality  Management  or 
    in  any  other 
    relevant  /  related 
    field. 
  • Candidates  should  also 
    have  2  principle  passes 
    at  A’  Level 
    and  credit  passes 
    in  English  and 
    Mathematics  at  O’ 
    Level
  • One year of experience in Forex.
  • Should  be  willing 
    to  work  in 
    any  part  of 
    the  country. 
  • Should  have  customer 
    awareness  and  emotional  intelligence  skills, 
    excellent  interpersonal  and 
    communication  skills.
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Excellent financial skills.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication 
    skills
  • Fluent  in  commonly 
    used  local  languages. 
  • Age: Below 35
    years
