The United Nations
Children’s Fund (UNICEF) is mandated by the UN general assembly to advocate for

About U-Report:
U-Report Uganda
sends one national poll per week, receiving approximately 100,000 messages in
reply.  This data then needs to be
analyzed and disseminated to key stakeholders in clear and concise reports, in
order to be used for advocacy activities or to help programmes adapt quickly to
the expressed needs of communities.
These stakeholders include UNICEF programme teams, civil society
partners, Members of Parliament, and many others. During the course of this

about the issues during these phases of life. National television, newspaper,
radio, and social media will promote U-Report as the channel for engagement
with citizens to hear their opinions on these specific issues, ask questions,
receive additional information, and interact with media and celebrity
