Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and ensuring optimum loading of cane and mills with well
prepared cane. - Monitoring and ensuring proper preparation of imbibing liquids and
the efficiency of the maceration process. - Checking and ensuring Power House loading and power
generation/distribution adequacy. - Directing, coordinating and supervising the general maintenance and
overhaul of the plant during the off crop period. - Ensuring the effective utilization of bagasse in the production of
adequate steam for the entire process demands.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical
Engineering or its equivalent from a reputable institution. A postgraduate
qualification in sugar technology and a certificate in supervisory
management is an added advantage. - At least seven years of hands on experience in a mechanical
maintenance function of a large heavy process industry, four (4) years of
which should have been in a sugar industry. - Age: 30 years and
above
