• Actively participate in risk assessment as a basis of determining
  audit priorities, scope and objectives in technical areas.
• Perform audits and provide assurance on technical aspects of
  operations of REA operations that may include the following among others;
  (i) Reviews design of the rural electrification projects (ii) Procurement
  of materials, installation and commissioning of equipment. (iii) Technical
  Operating Standards, other applicable laws/regulations, and best practice.
  (iv) Technical audits of the service providers (SPs) “whenever need
  arises”. (v) Certificates, project change-orders/variations, their
  performance, and contractor’s claims.
• Conduct internal audit investigations that are of technical nature
  as tasked by supervisor.
• Support other internal auditors in operations and compliance to
  execute their assignments when tasked.
• Issue audit queries, verify responses, and develop end-
  of-assignment audit reports for review by Supervisor.
• Follow up on the implementation of previous audit recommendations.
• Maintained a coordinated and well referenced audit filing system.
• Perform any other relevant duties that will be assigned from time to
  time.

• The applicant for the Senior Internal Auditor -Technical job must
  hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Membership of a professional body will be an added advantage (e.g
  ERB, MUIPE….etc)
• At least eight years of experience in the power sector with five
  years specifically in power line construction)
• Proven ability to gather, analyze and evaluate facts and prepare and
  present concise oral and written reports.
• Knowledge of power and powerline audits, procedures including
  planning, techniques, tests and sampling /T T methods. (Demonstrate good
  Knowledge in power line design, construction, commissioning and
  maintenance of the power line infrastructure)
• Required computer knowledge that facilitates general Auditing
  performance.
• A person of high integrity and can demonstrate objectivity and
  independence while conducting audit assignments.
• A Valid Driving Permit is essential.
