About US:
The National Drug
Authority (NDA) is an autonomous body which was established by the National
Drug Policy and Authority Act Cap 206 , Laws of Uganda (2000 Edition) to
regulate Human and Veterinary Medicines and other healthcare products.
NDA’s mandate is to ensure quality, safety and efficacy of human and veterinary
medicines and other healthcare products through the regulation and control of
their production, importation, distribution and use.

Job Summary: The Quality Management Officer will provide support
to the development and management of Quality Management & Assurance Systems
across NDA.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·
Support the
development, implementation and maintenance of quality management systems.

To
support the development and revision of guidelines, manuals and standard
operating procedures for medicines regulation.
To
support the development and revision of guidelines, manuals and standard

Actively
participate in auditing NDA quality management systems for compliance with
standards and advise on corrective measures.

provide information to assist clients and stakeholders in all matters related
to medicines regulation quality management.

follow-up Directorates / action holders for timely implementation and closure
of corrective and preventive actions identified from QMS audits.

support the preparation, publication and dissemination of information on
relevant quality standards.

maintain and regularly update the QMS clients complaints register.

maintain a register of all NDA policies, guidelines and SOP’s and inform the
Manager QMS on those that are due for update.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

The
ideal candidate for the National Drug Authority (NDA) Quality Management
Officer job must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from a recognized
university.

three years of experience in pharmaceutical industry specifically including
Quality Assurance, Quality Control and or Drug Regulatory Affairs.
