Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides guidance and assistance to the Company and staff in all
aspects in relation to Information & Communication Technology - Be the first line of support for day today ICT user support requests
in offices while managing the ICT helpdesk. Running software updates on
user computers, assist in local area network (LAN) management and
troubleshooting. - Provide Technical Support for the Company Web Presence by Developing
& updating the Company website. - Work with the identified vendor to carry out preventive maintenance
(servicing) on all desktops, laptops and printers at in all departments. - Do validation and updating of the ICT equipment Inventory. This will
involve gathering of all information pertaining ICT Equipment (Desktops,
Laptops, Printers, Switches, router) by item specifications, location and
user. This will ensure we keep an up to date ICT Equipment Inventory. - Perform weekly Data back-ups for all CO data as well as ensuring all
user workstations have an up to date back up. - Configuration of new computers and printers purchased as assigned by
the administration. - Conduct user sensitization training relating to IT where need be.
- Evaluate existing applications, data, hardware and other systems to
recommend enhancements - Compiling the IT Weekly report and submitting it to the
Administration on a weekly basis. - Performing operating system upgrades by installing software patches
- Proactively monitor ICT systems and troubleshoot any incidences
affecting service availability - Ensure all users have access to internet and Peripheral devices
like; – printers and scanners. - Clearly document features, technical specifications and
infrastructure requirements for self-produced technical work and job
processes - Performs other related duties such as special assignments and annual
major objectives as required.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Computer
science or any related field only. - CompTIA A+, N+, MCSE certification an
added advantage. - Knowledge of troubleshooting local area
networks (LANs) - Proficient in Microsoft office
applications - Excellent writing and communication
skills
