Acholi Project (Regional Health Integration to Enhance Services in Northern
Uganda – Acholi), USAID will continue its support of the Government of Uganda’s
(GOU) efforts to improve access to and use of health services in the country’s
post-conflict northern region. RHITES-N Acholi Project activities will build on
USAID investments and national advances to increase access to and use of
high-quality integrated services that accelerate the ability and capacity to
respond to the specific health needs of residents in the Acholi sub-region,
leveraging the URC-ASSIST project successes.
dealing with inquiries on the phone and face to face. S/he is expected to
provide general information regarding the organization and Project to the
general public, clients, and customers and general front office management.
- Welcome visitors by greeting and escorting them and responding or
referring inquiries - Answer incoming telephone calls, take complete and accurate messages
for people who are not available, and ensure they receive their messages - Direct visitors by maintaining employee and department
directories/contacts and giving instructions. - Maintain security by following procedures, monitoring logbook and
issuing visitor badges. - Provide office administrative support to the Administrative Officer,
including organization and facilitation for internal meetings, assist
drafting agendas and compiling of minutes for general staff meetings - Maintain hard copy and electronic versions of a project archive and
minutes of general staff meetings - Perform general clerical duties to include, but not limited to
photocopying, scanning, faxing, filing, and mailing - Maintain tracker for settlement of office utility bills
- Assist with making logistical arrangements for project events and
field activities - Support logistical arrangements for project staff traveling outside
their region or for international visitors as needed
- The applicant for the USAID Project Receptionist must hold a Diploma
in Administration, Leisure and Hospitality Social Science, or other
relevant field - A minimum of two years of relevant experience in reception
management or customer case - Excellent knowledge and experience with Windows Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, Outlook, and other data processing and graphical presentation
software - Ability to independently plan and execute complex tasks while
addressing daily management details and remaining organized and focused on
long-term deadlines and strategy highly desirable - Ability to assess problems and develop solutions
- Excellent inter-personal communication skills and excellent
organization skills - Fluency in oral and written English
