Services (Uganda) Ltd is part of the Bayport International Group (BML)
headquartered in Johannesburg, South Africa with Financial Services Operations
in over Nine Countries in Africa and South America.
Credit activities, planning, direction and management of the Bayport Sales
Divisions. Successful candidates will be responsible for formulation and
implementation of strategies to meet the performance goals in areas of sales
growth, Credit Coding and collection, Customer service and people management in
regions and branches under direct control and management.
- Develop, implement and evaluate
strategies to achieve, daily, weekly and monthly sales turnover target in
every Branch and every region under control. - Ensure credit performance Efficiencies
by leading and championing timely coding, collection efficiencies by
initiating and keeping very close ties with vote leaderships throughout
the Business Division - Identify staffing headcount needs and
initiate in coordination with the Head of Country Sales and the Head of
Human Resources Department the recruitment of Sales Contractors, Customer
Service Officers (Branch Service & Sales Officers) and Branch Managers
to ensure optimal staffing in line with available budget and
organizational priorities. - Coordinates implementation of the
Branch, Regional and Divisional marketing strategies for Bayport Products
in line with set targets and within Bayport Policies. - Monitors the compliance, implementation
and effectiveness of established policies, procedures and internal
controls in the respective branches, Areas and the entire Division and
implement timely incident reporting to determine the level of real or
potential operational risks. - Develops and maintain a good
relationship with various employers and maintain excellent Customer Care
standard as per Bayport Uganda Service standards and work values. - Conducts periodic on-site branch,
regional and divisional supervision and generates reports in line with the
regional regular sales and branch operations requirements - Prepares daily, weekly and monthly
reports to the Head of Country Sales, on the overall Branch, Regional and
Divisional business performance and progress on implementation of
strategies and action plans. - Agent Recruitment: Ensure that each
branch recruit and maintain a minimum Team Leaders and required number of
Agents per Team recommend to the Head of Country Sales positive and
proactive agent retention and promotion program within the Division - Develop strong working relationships
with clients, District officials, Ministries and other key business stake
holders with the aim of reaching and maintaining targets in collections
efficiency. - Integrity and professional Excellence:
Must lead with example and ensure that he/she is sober, mature and
encourage a spirit of team work and proactive respect for his or her team.
The incumbent will also be charged with ensuring a professional running of
all branch and regional operations and cultivate a culture of integrity
and professionalism both towards the staff and from the staff.
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree with honors from a
recognized University. - At least five years of experience in Financial Services Industry,
three years of which MUST have been at a Regional Management and
Department supervisory level in Sales and Credit department, preferably in
Retail Banking, Microfinance, Insurance or Telecommunication Sales, - Computer literacy skills
- In-depth knowledge of branch and regional management systems and
procedures.
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Ability to formulate Branch and Regional
operational sales and Credit collection strategies - Ability to exceed management performance
objectives expectations an ensure excellent service in all Branches and
Regions within the Division - Should have an entrepreneurial and
commercial mind frame. - Ability to work independently and with
minimum supervision while meeting and exceeding deadlines and expectations
- Willingness to work and travel widely
within the Division and in any part of Uganda. - Sober, mature, organized and
self-controlled; easy to work with and must be a team player. - Must currently be actively employed
