Job Summary: The
Sports Reporter will interpret and communicate sports news and public affairs
in the most in-depth and insightful manner.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Takes instructions and briefs from the Sports Producer on stories to
be covered - Carries out the necessary interviews, does a piece to camera and
wraps up the stories - Ensures that the equipment i.e. camera and video tapes are readily
available in working order - Assesses the situation on location to determine the required
pictures and sound bites and captures the images or directs a camera
person to do so - Previews the material, takes time codes, writes a script to go with
the pictures and gets the scripts edited - Edits the story packages
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Basic University Degree
- Diploma in Journalism/Mass Communication
- 1 to 3 years Working experience
- Must have in-depth knowledge of current affairs
- Experience working in a real time news environment
- Ability to work odd hours in a fast paced environment
- Must have a good command of the English Language
- Maintain a presence for your personal brand and for your
investigations on social media
