Uganda (A4HU) is a youth empowerment organization dedicated to mainstream young
peoples’ engagement in socio-economic development and promoting Sexual and
Reproductive Health and rights (SRHR). A4HU was registered in October 2017 as a
new entity to take over the operations of DSW (Deutsche Stiftung
Weltbevoelkerung) in Uganda. For the past 18 years DSW has supported the
implementation of a portfolio of projects to improve sexual and reproductive
health of young people in Uganda.
- Responsible for sanitation-related component of the project, thus
activity planning, implementation monitoring and evaluation. - Conducts capacity strengthening including trainings for
entrepreneurs and schools; - Designs sanitation marketing material;
- Coordinates stakeholders at national and global levels;
- Prepares project reports.
- The applicant must hold a Master’s degree in Civil or Water
engineering or related discipline. - A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Water Engineering or related
discipline. - Competence in computer skills is a must (word processing and spread
sheets). - At least five years’ experience in a similar position.
- At least three years’ experience in a supervisory role.
- Experience in managing a project budget successfully.
- Demonstrable attitude for teamwork.
- High level of interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally.
- High level of personal integrity.
- Fluent in Luganda language, oral and written English.
