Wildlife Officer

- Assisting in developing and reviewing projects, budgets, work plans
and procurement plans for the Department; - Compiling draft quarterly and annual performance reports;
- Reviewing progress with regard to protected area management plans
and providing draft timely reports; - Assisting in development of standards on conservation and
sustainable development of wildlife resources; - Supporting the review of plans, strategies, programmes and budgets
of affiliated statutory and trust institutions and preparing timely
reports; - Compiling strategic data and information on wildlife conservation
and preparing timely reports; - Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
- Applicants should be Ugandans in possession of an Honours Bachelor’s
Degree in Wildlife Health and Management; or Conservation Biology; or
Environmental Science; or any other related discipline from a recognized
University/Institution. - Competencies:
Ethics and Integrity; Interpersonal; Communication and Computer Skills;
ability to adapt to multi-cultural settings; effective organisational and
planning skills; time management skills; technical skills; report writing
skills; negotiation skills; capacity for teamwork; innovation and concern
for results, quality and standards. - Age: Above 21
