Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

- Assisting in conducting social economic evaluation research for the
different modes of transport; - Conducting relevant qualitative research in line with the Ministry’s
Client Charter and Service Delivery standards; - Updating sector monitoring and evaluation framework and M&E
plans; - Participating in preparations of mid-term and annual sector review
events; - Working closely with the Senior Staff, to monitor implementation of
the projects and providing feedback; - Ensuring efficient and effective M&E of all project activities;
identifying and receiving variables to be used in the formulation of new
policies and for supporting existing policies in the Ministry; - Participating in monitoring of infrastructure projects in the
Ministry and Transport Sector Agencies and Institutions; - Participating in the production of the Annual Transport Sector
Performance Report; - Supporting the design and implementation of baseline and other
surveys according to approved work plans; - Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
- Applicants should be Ugandans in possession of an Honours Bachelor’s
Degree in either Social Sciences; or Economics; or Statistics from a
recognized University/Institution. - Competencies: Ethics and Integrity; Interpersonal;
Communication and Computer Skills; ability to adapt to multi-cultural settings;
effective organisational and planning skills; time management skills; technical
skills; report writing skills; negotiation skills; capacity for teamwork;
innovation and concern for results, quality and standards. - Age: Above 21
years
