University (AKU) is a private, not-for-profit, international University first
established in 1983, with 13 teaching sites in 8 countries. It is a
non-denominational institution open to all, irrespective of religion,
ethnicity, gender or national origin. AKU has offers academic programmes in
nursing, medicine and education for and in countries in East Africa.
administrative support to the Project Director, EA and to support the projects
division in administrative tasks by liaising with various departments at
AKU/AKUH and with external agencies to accomplish department goals.
- Manage, maintain and operate the Projects office, EA
- Arrange and coordinate meetings, prepare agenda, meeting notes and
follow up on action points to resolve issues - The Administration Assistant will assist in collating and preparing
presentation material and reports - Design and implement filing and data storage and retrieval systems
for all project records - Support the Project Director in all project-related matters as
instructed - Participate in all team efforts as departmental needs arise
- The Administration Assistant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in
Business Management or equivalent demonstrated experience - Diploma in Secretarial training
- Previous experience in Construction firms or with construction
projects shall be given preference
