Job Summary: The Manager Sales and Marketing will be
responsible for overseeing and developing sales and marketing teams to drive
the company’s revenue generation strategies in accordance with sales and
marketing policies, objectives, targets and performance indicators. He/She will
set short and long-term sales strategies and evaluate effectiveness of current
sales programs, recommend product and service enhancements to improve customer
satisfaction and sales potential. The Manager will be familiar with a variety
of airline marketing concepts, practices and procedures and will ensure the
setting of products, fares, distribution systems and sales management and
monitoring structures.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate the sales team activities.
- Establish sales territories, quotas, and goals for the sales team.
- Analyze sales statistics to identify areas of improvement.
- Track results and trends regularly for business forecasting.
- Undertake market research to promote the airline business.
- Undertake business planning and execute marketing plans to meet set
goals. - Report on team and individual performance.
- Develop and execute innovative sales strategies.
- Build and form new partnerships with potential and existing clients.
- Participate in domestic and international fares, conferences and
meetings as necessary.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Uganda Airlines Manager Sales and
Marketing job placement must hold a Bachelor’s degree in marketing,
business administration, commerce or other closely related field. - Five years of aviation sales experience.
- Knowledge of Airline sales and Distribution Networks.
- Strong background in dealing with Hospitality/ Travel Industry sales
or Managing Cooporate Accounts with International clients - Experience at senior management level with excellent team work.
- Relevant competencies in IT.
- Leadership and negotiation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and build rapport with clients and team.
