Airport. It is headquartered in Entebbe, Wakiso District, Uganda, and operates
from its hub in Entebbe International Airport.

- Ensure that all maintenance activities carried out on Uganda
Airlines Aircraft are performed in accordance with company standards,
Civil Aviation Regulations and the requirements of the Air Operator
Certificate. - Shall be the effective liaison for all maintenance related
activities. - Shall be in charge of all the line maintenance engineers and plan
effectively for their maintenance resources. - Ensure correction of any defect or damage affecting safe operation
of the aircraft to an approved standard, considering the minimum equipment
list and configuration deviation list for the aircraft type. - Ensure release to service of aircraft is performed in accordance
with applicable rules and procedures. - Ensure that an adequate supply of aircraft maintenance related
documentation is availed when needed. - Plan and monitor training of all maintenance personnel.
- Monitor the competence of all maintenance staff.
- Ensure necessary resources such as training, materials and approved
technical data etc. are available to comply with the applicable regulatory
requirements and manufacturers’ specifications. - Ensure that sufficient resources are available and controlled to
ensure on-time completion of workload. - Develop and implement systems and procedures that will enhance an
industrial safety environment. - Implement safety management systems processes in the maintenance
department. - Plan and control the departmental budget.
- Ensure that the applied resources comply with the Regulatory
requirements to maintain high safety/airworthiness standards. - Ensure staff are deployed within the concept of human performance
limitations.
- The ideal candidate for the Uganda Airlines Manager Maintenance job
placement must be a licensed maintenance engineer with appropriate ratings
in airframe and engines or avionics with at least five years’ experience
in maintaining a similar category of aircraft including one year in the
capacity of returning aircraft to service. - At least three years of maintenance supervisory experience.
- Computer proficiency.
- Good interpersonal relations, communication and leadership skills.
