Job Summary: The Manager Human Resource is a strategic
leader who designs, implements and administers a full suite of human resource.
He/She is responsible for talent acquisition, development programs and policies
that support and enrich a positive staff experience at the airline. He /She is
also responsible for developing a high-performance culture at the airline,
ensuring an attractive place of work, emphasizing communication and engagement
at all levels. He/She will be responsible for the welfare and motivation of all
staff.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct employment activities across the airline, ensuring properly
qualified applicants are recruited. - Coordinate selection and promotion of personnel.
- Prepare and update the company human resources manual.
- Ensure that all employees of the Airline are informed/advised on
human resource programs, policies, procedures and controls of the company.
- Administer compensation and benefit systems including carrying out
salary surveys, preparing and submitting remuneration review recommendations
for management and Board consideration. - Determine job classifications and salary levels, prepare, update and
interpret job descriptions. - Keep comprehensive up-to-date personal records of employees on
matters such as bio-data, wages, leave, training and other related
aspects. - Assist and guide the Airline employees with personal problems,
career development and welfare related issues and services. - Prepare and submit, or oversee the preparation of various
departmental reports as scheduled/ requested, including analyses of
staffing levels, attrition levels and skills/training requirements to meet
the company objectives. - Administer, monitor and maintain leave records in compliance with
company policies and national labour laws.
- In collaboration with relevant department heads, design and monitor
training programs across the organization. - Develop and implement a complete suite of human resources systems
including policies and procedures supporting a performance centric
culture. - Translate business priorities into HR strategies, plan and
persuasively lead the department towards swift and consistent execution. - Serve as the main link between the Airline employees and management
on all matters of human resources nature. - Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the
Chief Executive Officer.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Uganda Airlines Manager Human Resource
job placement must hold a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management,
Business Administration (Majoring in Human Resource management) or other
closely related discipline from a recognized University. - A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor Arts degree in human resources,
business administration or other closely related field. - Proven experience as at senior management level for at least five
(5) years. - Knowledge of data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- High ethical standards are a must.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Airline Human Resource management experience will be of added
advantage.
