Finance Management Advisor
International Development Agency (DANIDA) is starting a new program come 2019,
the Northern Uganda Resilience Initiative, NURI, which will be implemented in
Northern Uganda, (West Nile & Acholi Sub-region).
the human resource activities in the organization. The incumbent will also
ensure effective systems that support the overall human resource strategy and
services of NURI.
- Develop, share and enforce human resource management policies and
procedure (e.g. training manuals, HR manual, and employee handbook)
throughout the organization. - Provide HR support including coordination of recruitment processes
from advertising vacancies, through the entire selection process to
coordination of new hire paperwork, and orientation meetings. - Maintain records of all national staff, including contracts, TORs,
and any personnel issues including disciplinary procedures. - Provide technical support to CF staff and field partners on HR
related issues. - Support the performance management system in the organization; set
up appraisal schedules with line managers for probationary and ‘annual
appraisals and follow up the submission of appraisal reports. - Participate in staff appraisals to the extent possible
- Providing timely assistance to team members regarding benefit and
human resource questions and issues. - Propose staff training and development activities to NURI management
through Training Needs Analyses (TNA) and coordinating relevant training
programs. - Provide regular reports on the human resource status for both NURI
and partners viz-a-viz the overall NURI strategy. - Assist in preparation of special events such as Year End Celebration
and other office or company gatherings as may be required. - Monthly tracking of HR data i.e. leave, attendance, staff database,
medical records, etc. - Knowledge/Critical Skills and Qualifications:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to
perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- The applicant should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human
Resource Management or related discipline. - Two to five years of human resource experience.
