project in the Districts of Napak and Nakapiripirit.
responsible for overseeing and supervising the BOMA Project activities
- Work in close coordination with the Livelihood Programme Manager
(LPM, oversee the establishment of the Rural Economic Access Project
(REAP) Village Committees (RVCs) in each identified village cluster. - Participate in Community Mobilization (Community Entry meetings) and
PRAs to select potential BOMA Project beneficiaries. - In coordination with the LPM, oversee the hiring and supervision of
Village Business and Savings Groups Mentors (a group of individuals who
are monitoring and working with REAP participants in business and savings
groups). - Assess and strengthen the effectiveness of the BOMA Project and its
implementation - Represent Caritas Moroto Diocese in the Sub-counties/ and or the
district in matters related to the BOMA project, including as a
representative for the organization in local development committees. - Conduct continuous mentoring of Graduation mentors and undertake
regular spot-checks of mentors’ activities in the various locations of
their assignments, and continuously evaluate the performance and quality
of business mentorship. - Work closely with LPM to organize and oversee Business and SGs
G-Mentors’ Workshops and other trainings conducted by BOMA, Caritas Moroto
Diocese and or CRS support Mentors in the delivery of their activities and
ensure the highest quality of delivery in the conduct of business and
savings trainings in the communities where BOMA project works - Maintain regular contact with the LPM and provide updates on the
development and progress of REAP project Activities - Provide accurate and comprehensive monthly reports to the LPM based
on BOMA’s monthly report template - Facilitate optimal operation of all digital tablets and solar
chargers provided to all BOMA Group Mentors in order to ensure accurate
and timely syncing and reporting. - In coordination with the LPM, the Field Administrator, and
Procurement Officer, spot check performance and maintenance of tablets as
required.
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business
Administration, Marketing, Commerce, Agribusiness, Economics or
Development Studies with two years of experience in business or
market/economic development. - A diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce,
Agribusiness, Economics or Development Studies with three years of experience
in business or market/economic development. - Previous experience with market facilitation, supporting‘ systemic
change and promoting supporting services. ” - Excellent knowledge of a wide variety of market development tools
and approaches. - Knowledge of the agricultural or livestock sectors is highly
desirable. - Practical experience in working with small and medium sized
companies in development - Strong communication and negotiating skills as well as
business-minded. - Excellent supervisory, training and mentoring skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work with little or no supervision.
- Sensitivity and diplomacy in working with socially disadvantaged
communities. - Very good analytical and information management skills.
- Keen attention to detail, ability to follow procedures and meet
deadlines and work cooperatively with team members. - Excellent computer skills
- Proven skills in riding a motorcycle and possession of a valid
riding license.
