Job Summary: The Front Office Receptionist will be
responsible for managing the reception area and provide secretarial support to
faculty and stall in the university. Other duties and responsibilities will
include but not limited to:

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive all incoming telephone calls and transfer to the respective
faculty/stall". - Make all telephone calls and keep a register of international and
long distance calls. - Provide information and guidance to visitors of the university.
- Inform faculty, staff and students of their calls and messages/
parcels. - Receive and direct visitors appropriately.
- Keep a register of the generator fuel usage including the number of
hours utilized and report the same to the supervisor. - Receive procurement documents from suppliers. record them in the
register and deliver them to Administration/ Finance. - Maintain an inventory of all office consumables and inform the
supervisor on the supply level for replenishment purposes. - Keep a register of all supplies received and forward procurement
documents after verification from administration. - Provide logistical support to official functions e.g. conferences,
convocation, workshops, etc.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The Front Office Receptionist should hold a Bachelor’s degree in a
relevant field - At least three years of work experience within a university) set-up,
preferably in academic administration. - Experience in secretarial and administration.
- Demonstrated competence working with Microsoft Software.
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral, as well as
excellent coordination skills.
